oaoa represents the initials of 'ordinary art original art', a space that introduces art creating a point of natural sympathy for the ordinary daily life of the viewer, the artist’s personal experience, and the artistic spirit inherent in the work. A white cube exhibition hall where the viewer is invited to focus only on the art, the lounge space conveys the value of artistic influence in daily life to the public, offering guidance on a journey to continuously discover new meanings of art in life through intimate and private interactions between the work and the individual.

oaoa invites viewers to experience art that shows the power to make a viewer sympathize with their inner self, as well as the intuitive expression of the artist’s inner world, and welcomes all artists in various fields willing to look into the existing art world from a new perspective. These attempts will establish the foundations to broaden the base of the artist’s work, in a space that conveys the influence of art that is closely encountered, exchanged, and amplified in individual daily life.

오에이오에이(oaoa)는 ordinary art original art의 첫 글자를 딴 이름으로, 감상자의 평범하고 보통인ordinary 일상과, 작품 안에 내재된 작가 개인의 경험과 예술적 정신original이 자연스러운 공감의 지점을 만드는 작품들을 소개하는 공간입니다. 오롯이 작품에 집중할 수 있는 화이트 큐브의 전시장과, 좀 더 일상과 가까운 라운지 두 공간을 통해 일상에 끼치는 예술적 영향력의 가치를 대중에게 전하고, 작품과 개인 사이 친밀하고 사적인 상호작용을 통해 예술의 새로운 의미를 각 개인의 삶 속에서 지속적으로 발견하는 여정을 안내합니다.

오에이오에이는 작가의 내적세계가 직관적으로 표현되어 있고 보는 이가 자신의 내면을 대입하고 공감하게 만드는 힘을 가진 작품에 주목하며, 새로운 스펙트럼으로 기존 작품세계를 들여다보고자 하는 모든 작가들과의 긴밀한 프로젝트에 활짝 열려 있습니다. 이러한 시도들를 통해 작가들이 작업의 저변을 넓힐 수 있는 토대를 마련하고, 개인의 일상에서 가까이 접하고 교류하며 증폭하는 예술의 영향력을 전하는 공간이 되고자 합니다.

안주은 개인전 《남을 것》

오에이오에이는 안주은 작가의 첫 개인전 《남을 것 What Remains》을 개최합니다. 이번 전시에서는 생업의 현장에서 사용된 구조물과 도구를 모티프로, 삶의 흔적과 ‘살아가려는 의지’를 담아낸 신작 약 16점을 소개합니다.

작가는 기능을 다한 작물 지지대, 그늘막, 리어카 등 구조물의 잔해에 스며든 시간과 노동의 흔적에 주목합니다. 그 위에 상상력을 더해 이를 새롭게 구성하고, 일상의 도구 속에 깃든 생의 의지를 화면 위에 구체화합니다. 단순한 재현을 넘어서, 시간이 남긴 흔적과 그로 인한 변화를 회화적으로 풀어내며 사물에 내재된 존재성과 지속성에 질문을 던집니다.

‘남을 것’이라는 전시 제목처럼, 결국 무엇이 남고 어떻게 기억되는지를 사유하는 작가의 시선을 따라, 우리 주변의 익숙한 구조물들이 품고 있는 시간과 존재의 이야기를 전시장에서 함께 마주할 수 있기를 바랍니다.

안주은(b.1999)은 중앙대학교 예술대학 미술학부 서양화전공을 졸업했고, 2024년부터 서울과학기술대학교 일반대학원 조형예술학과에 재학중이다. 2022년 WWW SPACE에서의 단체전 《커미션일지》를 시작으로 《TOMATO》(챔버1965, 2023)과 《ㅇ-ㅇ-ㅇ》(갤러리조선, 2023)에 참여한 바 있다.

oaoa is pleased to present What Remains, Jueun An’s first solo show, featuring approximately 16 new works. The artist explores the traces of life and the will to endure through structures and tools once used in everyday labor—now worn, dismantled, or abandoned.

By reimagining these remnants with layered brushstrokes and fragile textures, An transforms them into quiet metaphors of survival and time. Her works reflect on what remains and how the marks of life persist beyond function and form.

Hours: Wed – Sat, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

(Closed on Sun, Mon, Tues, and public holidays)

Jueun An (b.1999) holds a BFA from Chung-Ang University and is currently pursuing her MFA at Seoul National University of Science and Technology. She has participated in exhibitions at WWW SPACE, CHAMBER1965, and Gallery Chosun.
